Marijke van Warmerdam (born in 1959), who lives and works in Amsterdam, produces work using different media such as photography, posters, objects, film and video, and predominantly presents installation using film loops. She has been exhibited internationally, including solo shows at Stedelijk Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven; Museum fur Gegenwartskunst, Zurich; Museum Ludwig, Cologne; S.M.A.K., Ghent; ICA, Boston; National Museum of Art, Design and Architecture in Oslo, and has participated numerous group shows such as Venice Biennale and Documenta.
