Praise of Shadows

A
presentation in the gallery included some optical projection apparatuses
made of glass with their projections. The entire candle burning process
was fixed by photography.
Its flame fluttered in the breeze in the night leaves a figure of
light on film, which is reflected as the shadow image on the wall.
He designed this as a re-experimental equipment for discovery of fire
and its erosion on the darkness.
Hiroshi Sugimoto stayed at the CCA Kitakyushu as a professor of the
research program during the month of November. |
