Nico
Dockx and Kris Delacourt both live and work in Antwerpen and often
produce sonic collaborations with their media collective Building
Transmissions (founded in 2001). Jan Mast lives and works in Gent
where he focuses on creating varied expressive new media productions.
Relentless collaborators might be the single most accurate to describe
these young artists, as their aesthetic practice persistently develops
alongside and in relation to others. They grow interdisciplinary
archives and research contexts from both personal memories and other
people's data, editing experimental audio-visual works, performances,
publications and other projects from the layers of sound and multiple
vantage points that emerge from working closely with friends. |
