Christina
Mackie (born in 1956) lived in central and western Canada until age
18, and has since lived and worked in London.
Mackie's work is characterized by the use of disparate elements which
are kept separate but held tightly together by their placing, proximity
or association. Usually all the elements thus collated are dismantlable
and complete in themselves. These objects would be made specifically
(i.e. not found), and have included DNA, trees, paperthin lamps, textiles,
paper and moving images. |
