Project Gallery presented a new work by Carl Michael von Hausswolff.
The color red has fascinated Hausswolff for some time, e.g. "Red
Night" in Site Santa Fe, New Mexico (1999) by flooding an entire
cemetery with 20,000W of deep red light and "Red Pool" for
“Cities On The Move” in Bangkok (1999) by turning the
swimming pool at the Reno Hotel blood red. Red Code projected on
the
subjects of exclusion and inclusion - to be with or without, to have
or not to have - to be a part of a society or to be an outcast.
Carl Michael von Hausswolff stayed at CCA Kitakyushu as a professor
of the Research Program during the month of November, 2001.
